I am Dr Amelia Tan Wei Ling, a leading obstetrician and gynaecologist in Singapore. I graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2008, and then completed my specialist programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), UK in 2012. The combination of a strong academic background and practical experience at leading hospitals such as KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital has made me one of the most trusted and sought-after specialists in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology in Singapore. My career journey began with my residency at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where I learned how to manage complicated births and honed my communication skills with patients. Since 2016, I have been the Head of the Maternity Department at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, where I have led a team of doctors and nurses in performing hundreds of safe deliveries, from normal deliveries to high-risk caesarean sections. My special skills include ultrasound diagnosis of fetal anomalies and management of high-risk pregnancies, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby.
