Hello there, I’m Lena Harper and if you’re reading this, you might be searching for a little peace amid the storm of daily life, just as I once did nearly two decades ago.
As a massage therapy professional with over 15 years of experience, I don’t just “work” on your body I help untangle the invisible knots within your spirit.
Picture this: on a crisp morning in 2006, I walked into the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California, my heart filled with passion yet shadowed by doubt. I graduated in 2008 with a Massage Therapy Certificate after 750 hours of intensive training from anatomy to hands-on practice with volunteer “patients.” That’s where I learned that every body tells its own story. It was the foundation that helped me pass the MBLEx exam and earn my LMT certification from NCBTMB, officially opening the door to my career.
My professional journey began at Wellness Haven Spa in San Francisco (2008–2014), where each session became more than treatment it was a conversation of healing. I learned to listen not only to words but to the whispers of tense muscles.
In 2015, I took a leap and founded Harper Holistic Health Clinic in Oakland, where I evolved from therapist to guide, blending massage, aromatherapy, and yoga. Highlights such as my 2012 post-injury recovery program for athletes and the 2020 corporate stress relief initiative reaffirmed my belief that massage isn’t a luxury it’s a necessity.
My professional philosophy is simple: “Touch to heal, laugh to connect.”
I’m committed to providing personalized care, using organic essential oils and evidence-based techniques in every session. With an outgoing yet empathetic nature, I bring a touch of humor often sharing stories about my dog, Milo, just to make you smile instead of tense up.
Whether you’re battling chronic back pain or simply need to “reset” after a hectic week, I’m here to remind you: your body deserves to be loved.
