Greetings. My name is Dr. Chiamaka Nkemdilim Okoro, and I am a pediatric specialist dedicated to the health and well-being of children. I am the Head of Pediatrics at Rainbow Children’s Hospital & Pediatric Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. My journey in medicine began at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, where I earned my MBBS degree. I further specialized in pediatrics through a postgraduate certificate from the West African College of Physicians and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in the UK. This comprehensive training has equipped me with the skills to address a wide range of pediatric health issues, from common illnesses to complex infectious diseases. My approach to care is rooted in compassion and trust. Although I am a reserved individual, I am lively and engaging with my young patients, and exceptionally patient with their parents. I believe in a family-centered approach, where parents are empowered and involved in every step of the treatment process. My dedication is built on a strong foundation of professional ethics, and my warm smile, deep eyes, and calm voice are what most people remember about me. I am an advocate for child health and development, with expertise in pediatric nutrition and growth monitoring, as well as the treatment of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
